About Derrick O. Jackson, DPM
Dr. Derrick O. Jackson is a Board-Certified specialist in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Jackson has more than 15 years of experience and expertise in treating all types of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. He specializes in diabetic foot care including limb preservation, diabetic neuropathy, wound care, and ulcer treatment. He enjoys caring for patients suffering from heel pain, and sports injuries such as tendon ruptures, ankle sprains, and fractures. He also treats patients dealing with vascular conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), varicose veins, arthritis, skin and nail conditions, bunions, hammertoes, and other foot deformities.
When indicated, Dr. Jackson provides biomechanics, orthotics, and braces to patients at the Youngstown location. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City in 2004. He then completed a three-year Surgical and Comprehensive Residency at the North Side Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Before earning his DPM, Dr. Jackson earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
