Dr. Rachel Ascheman is a Board-Qualified Foot and Ankle Surgeon with specialized training in trauma, flatfoot reconstruction, minimally invasive techniques, and diabetic limb salvage.

 

She completed her residency at Southwest General and University Hospitals Regionals, where she gained extensive experience in treating lower extremity pathology.

 

Her clinical interests include lower extremity trauma, corrective reconstruction, and advanced limb salvage techniques. Dr. Ascheman stays at the forefront of her field by actively participating in national conferences, surgical workshops, and clinical research.

 

Originally from Minnesota, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Minnesota State University – Mankato and graduated cum laude with her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University. She is also committed to giving back through community involvement and volunteer work.

 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, traveling, woodworking, home improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and their two energetic dogs and curious cat. Passionate about helping others, she is excited to serve the Northeast Ohio communities by delivering personalized, high-quality care that helps patients to return to active, pain-free lives.
