About Dr. Vasilios Spyropoulos
Dr. Vasilios Spyropoulos
Dr. Vasilios Spyropoulos is a native of Greece. He came to the U.S. at the age of five and became a US citizen seven years later. He grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania and he attended Penn State University where he received his bachelor’s degree. From there he moved to New York city to attend the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. After obtaining his Doctoral Degree in Podiatry, he completed his residency in Queens, NY, where he was awarded the Chief Resident position in his final year.
While in residency he gained comprehensive training in surgical and non-surgical podiatry and extensive exposure to wound care and diabetic foot care. After completing his residency, he practiced full time in New York for 12 years before coming to the Midwest to practice.
Dr. Spyropoulos has multiple family members in the medical field from whom he credits his warm bedside manner and cares about his patients as if they were family members. His main focus has been on the high-risk diabetic population and treatment of wounds of all types. However, in his practice he sees patients for all foot conditions and of all ages. He is currently board certified and has 22 years of experience. He will be seeing patients in our Urbana office.
Dr. Spyropoulos currently lives in Springboro, Ohio. He is an avid movie buff and collector of movie memorabilia. He also enjoys exercising and spending time with his family when not working.
