Dr. Zach Merkel attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. His podiatric educational journey began at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he gained a solid foundation in podiatric medicine and surgery.

Dr. Merkel then pursued residency at Inspira Medical Center, where he further honed his skills in both conservative and surgical interventions. Additionally, he sought specialized training in pediatric care at the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore.

Throughout his educational and clinical experiences, Dr. Merkel has developed a patient-centered approach to podiatry. He believes in building strong relationships with his patients, actively listening to their concerns, and tailoring treatment plans to meet their individual needs. His residency at Inspira Medical Center exposed him to a diverse patient population, allowing him to develop a well-rounded approach to his podiatry practice.

Dr. Merkel treats patients of all ages in our Marysville, Mt. Vernon, Grove City, and East Livingston locations.
