About Gladys deLeon, DPM
Dr. Gladys de Leon is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon who has been in practice for the last 26 years. With offices in Chardon and Garfield Heights, she has become a valued member of the local medical community, providing care for all foot and ankle disorders to patients of all ages. Dr. de Leon grew up on Long Island, New York and completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1993. She then completed her surgical residency at Mount Sinai/St. Francis Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, going on to an additional year specializing in Trauma at UH/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, before moving to Ohio in 1996.
Dr de Leon is very active in the community doing education and outreach programs and lecturing for many local associations and schools. She is a firm believer in education, early intervention and making sure each patient is well informed and taking accountability in their health. She takes pride in her belief in the importance of good communication between patient and provider and maintaining mutual respect and compassion as the key to successful treatment.
